Week Eight 5 by 5

Guess whos bizzack

Top 5 Waiver Adds

  1. Zack Moss RB Buffalo

  2. Deejay Dallas/Travis Homer RB Seattle

  3. Jordan Wilkins RB Indy

  4. Anthony Miller WR Chicago

  5. Wayne Gallman RB Giants

Zack Moss basically split carries with Devin Singletary and is the Red Zone RB for a high scoring (albeit somewhat declining) offense. Definitely should be rostered. Deejay Dallas and Travis Homer are both in line for increased touches with Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde likely out for one more week. Jordan Wilkins was already receiving work in the Colts backfield prior to the head coach finding out running mate Johnathan Taylor had an ankle injury. Taylor looks mediocre so far and hasn’t become the superstar you thought he would be. Darnell Mooney might’ve been the one who got in the end zone, but im not sure hes over Anthony Miller for fantasy purposes. Miller got 11 targets… might be his long awaited breakout. Wayne Gallman simply looks like hes got something every time he gets a shot, and with Devonta Freeman missing Monday nights game vs Tampa, Gallman produced.

Top 5 Disappointments (not including injuries)

  1. Carson Wentz QB Philly

  2. DJ Moore (DJ Less) WR Carolina

  3. Darrell Henderson RB LAR

  4. Lamar Jackson - Mark Andrews QB/TE BAL

  5. Clyde Edwards-Helaire RB KC

Wentz went against literally the worst defense probably in NFL history and proceeded to turn it over 4 times. Not great. DJ Moore saved a terrible day with 2 catches including a nasty 50 yard catch on the last drive. Darrell Henderson was likely a victim of wild game flow. Rams played catchup mode the majority of the game and needed Brown to pass block. Lamar has had an extremely tough time against the Steelers in his short career, but hey thats a mean defense. Hes had a rough stretch recently but theres nothing to worry about. Even less so with Andrews. Clyde will have games like these to worry about. His days of set it and forget it might be over.

Top 5 injuries

  1. George Kittle —> Jordan Reed (hopefully)

  2. Jamaal Williams/AJ Dillon —> Tyler Ervin

  3. Kenny Golladay —> Danny Amendola

  4. Calvin Ridley (should be back after the bye)

  5. Tevin Coleman —> JaMycal Hasty

George Kittle 😭 (and Jimmy G) is likely out for 8 weeks. Basically his season is over. Considering I have traded for him in 2 leagues this is cool. On the plus side Jordan Reed should be back and he looked great in spot time earlier in the year. Jamaal Williams and AJ Dillon are both out Thursday due to Covid and subsequent contact tracing. Aaron Jones will likely play, but Ervin should have a role. Hes already seen light work weekly, and will likely see a bump to keep Jones fresh. Kenny Golladay is week to week. Danny Amendola has had 3 of the past 4 games with over 50 yards. You could likely do better but he should see a bump. Calvin Ridley left the game early, but early reports suggest the bye is in perfect timing. Tevin Coleman came back and got hurt. Its a short week so Hasty will likely have a prominent role along side McKinnon.

Top 5 Players to be worried about

  1. Cowboys skill players

  2. Jonathan Taylor RB Ind

  3. Clyde Edwards Helaire RB KC

  4. Diontae Johnson WR Pit

  5. Mike Gesicki TE MIa

its a sad state when Andy Dalton seems to be the savior of this offense. Nothing is appealing of the Steelers matchup and you might be forced to start a Zeke or Amari Cooper. Jonathan Taylor might be hurt, but he also might be in the process of losing his job. Hes already lost a stranglehold on carries. See Clyde above. Diontae Johnson is a little different as this is something out go his control. He just cant seem to stay healthy on the field. Mike Gesicki is someone that should’ve been replaced a while ago. He has 3 games with 1 catch and 1 game with even less than that.

Top 5 Players to Trade For/Away or Drop

  1. Tee Higgins WR Cin

  2. JK Dobbins RB Bal

  3. Dallas Goedart TE Phi

  4. Brandin Cooks WR Hou

  5. Ryan Tannehill QB Ten

Tee has had an amazing year thus far. But your opponent may think his targets gotta come down at some point, or the Bengals cant throw the ball all the time. I know this bc I almost traded Tee away myself. Buy the hype. We all were waiting for this point… the inevitable JK breakout game. This may be a timeshare as Mark Ingram comes back but im not so sure Ingram will return to lead dog status in this backfield. Dont be misled on Dallas Goedarts bad game. He was out there for a ton of routes, so the reinjury concern is not there. He will be a funnel for targets as soon as this week. Trade for him as this will be his lowest market value since being back. Brandin Cooks has quietly been WR8 his past 4 weeks. Trade for him, his increased target share appears to be legit. Ryan Tannehill is much like the other Ryan (Fitzpatrick) in that it may not be pretty but you are getting a top 7 QB averaged out.
