Week 4 AfterParty

Going to do something different this week in highlighting key stories/players in the past week. Alot of injuries, alot of offense, and alot of disappointment but hey.. we thriving and surviving, Championships not won by week 4.

Top 5 Performers (1 QB)

  1. Joe Mixon 39.10

  2. Dak Prescott 38.28

  3. Odell Beckham Jr 35.9

  4. George Kittle 32.60

  5. Dalvin Cook 27.6

What a game Joe Mixon…He put up more vs Jacksonville than the previous 3 weeks combined. Running room is scarce in Cincinnati but volume is king in fantasy football. The Cowboys defense should really get the spot here bc as long as they are on the field expect Dak to explode..(he plays the Giants next week so the ceiling might not be there but you aren’t benching him). And hey lets not stop there, who did Odell play this week? Thats right.. Odell is still the same guy hes always been.. humiliating Dallas defenders used to be a weekly thing for him. George Kittle was about as efficient as you could get. 15 targets 15 catches 💰Dalvin Cook is a model of consistency, 21 16 24 and 27. That is what you like to see in your 1st round pick.

Top 5 Disappointments (not including injuries)

  1. Kenyan Drake 3.5

  2. Calvin Ridley 0

  3. Tyler Lockett 4.9

  4. Zach Ertz 4.9

  5. DJ Moore 6.9

Now Kenyan Drake is the opposite of what you’d like to see… 13 10 8 and 3. Now his touches have been great until this week, where the Cardinals used short passing to move down the field.. this wouldn’t be a problem if Kenyan was getting targets. Calvin Ridley got stuck on Jaire Island, with no raft. My dude put up a donut 🍩. Unreal. Tyler Lockett was coming off of a monster 100 yard 3 TD performance and was matched up against Miami, so of course he has his worst game of the year. I would not fret, Russell showed he was human vs Miami. Zach Ertz if it wasnt for a late 2 pt conversion this day would have been so much worse. Ertz had 4 rec for 9 yards. The opposite of Kittles day. DJ Moore is here because not only has he likely lost his spot as a starter on your offense, he also may have become the #2 weapon on his own team. This was the first, and likely not the last, that Robby Anderson received more targets than Moore.

Top 5 injuries

  1. Austin Ekeler —> Justin Jackson

  2. Nick Chubb —> D’Ernest Johnson

  3. Cam Newton —> Justin Herbert/Daniel Jones (you are not starting Hoyer or Stidham)

  4. Julio Jones —> Olamide Zaccheus

  5. OJ Howard —> Cameron Brate/Robert Gronkowski

Austin Ekeler is likely out for 4-6 weeks with a hamstring injury. Look for Justin Jackson to spell Josh Kelley. He came in and handled 6 carries to Joshs 9, with 2 and 3 catches respectively. Look for them to split work, while Josh may potentially keep the Goaline work. Nick Chubb is also out for an extended time with an MCL Sprain. Backup D’Ernest Johnson deserves a look. Stefanski loves to run with multiple RBs. With Cam Newtons COVID diagnosis you may need a qb to stream. Justin Herbert has been phenomenal, and Daniel Jones plays the Cowboys. When in doubt… Julio Jones left the Monday night game with a hamstring injury. Olamide Zaccheus has been an intriguing player and would look to profit from an extended workload. OJ Howard is out for the season. I would not have that much faith in a TE with Gronk patiently waiting, however Brate did score this week.

Top 5 Waiver adds

  1. Tee Higgins

  2. Robert Tonyan

  3. Justin Herbert

  4. Olamide Zaccheus

  5. Chase Edmonds

Another week Tee Higgins makes this list. 16 targets the past two weeks, go get him. As i was typing this Robert Tonyan was scoring his 28th td of the game (really 3). He looks to not only be a key redzone weapon (TD in every game hes played), but baby Kittle is developing to a legit TE and a weekly play. Justin Herbert looked like Dante Culpepper Sunday throwing nukes to WRs you’ve never heard of. With Austin Ekeler out for some time this may force them to be more vertical. Olamide Zaccheus was intriguing last week, then this week Julio left the game early. He had 9 targets this week, and you know ATLs defense is only going to force more passing. Chase Edmonds is here just in case Kliff Kingsbury decides hes seen enough of Kenyan Drake. Chase has produced in the past when given opportunity and is already the main passing option out of the backfield.

Top 5 Players to Trade For/Away or Drop

  1. AJ Green (Drop or Trade away)

  2. TY Hilton (Trade away or Drop)

  3. Diontae Johnson (Trade for)

  4. Mark Ingram (Trade away)

  5. Keenan Allen (Trade away ~Hold)

AJ Green has not been producing this season, at all. What you could bank on was eventually he had to cash in on those targets… well his targets have basically been cut in half. 22 in the first 2 weeks, and 11 in the past 2. Might be time to rip the cord. TY Hilton has not done much this year(7 4 6 4). It is partially because his team has such a good defense and they want to run the ball. Not really the formula for success in fantasy football. Diontae Johnson is on this list because after suffering a concussion and having an early bye week your opponent may have forgotten about him, or may have seen Juju continue to rack up points and want to steer away. This is your time to swoop in. Big things ahead. Mark Ingram is really just a rotational filler for Baltimore. This week he received less carries than both JK and Gus the Bus. Might be time to reel in a WR/TE/QB upgrade to an opponent desperate at RB, because his value is dropping quickly. Keenan Allen is honestly here on a just in case basis. If Tyrod Taylor becomes the starter again, I think Keenans value takes a small hit. I still think he will be startle on your team just with a slightly smaller ceiling. I would just put his name out and see what type of offer you can get, he is not necessarily a sell now.
